So I will be getting a 3ds soon and will be getting back into Pokemon. Problem is I haven't played since Gen II. So my question is where should I start to catch up? Or should I wait until Sun and Moon? I also would like to get Charizard, Lugia, Rayquaza, Marowak and others from the games I knew and the others I liked from pass gens, how would I go about this?

Yeah, that's a horrible design choice, and 3 different shades of blue, but Feraligatr being white also wasn't the best option. Could be centered better. There's a lot wrong with it.

Since gen 2? ORAS is a remake for Gen 3 anyway, so play that.
If you bother with the development/history of pokemon anyway, then play Platinum or B2W2 before ORAS.

Go to /hbg/ on /vg/ and learn how to put CFW on your 3DS so you can download and play all Pokemon games for free. You can't go wrong with that. It'll set you up nicely for a free Sun/Moon.

Anon, just get either XY or ORAS. Between them you can capture every Pokemon except the event ones like Jirachi, Celebi, Darkrai, etc. but if you act fast right now there's an event for Shaymin and through the next couple of month other legendaries will be handed out.

Mine Ive always received from Wi-Fi (they never did events here) but you can receive some from codes (given with movie tickets, GameStop etc) and wireless which is what I guess it was like getting it at GS back in the day
