Abilities are getting out of fucking control. I'm going to list off typical abilities introduced in gen 3

>pickup
>pressure
>illuminate
>run away
>shield dust
>effect spore
>hyper cutter

A few pokemon had really good abilities, but that was mostly reserved for signature pokemon, or for gimmicks. They didn't give amazing abilities out like candy

Now every single pokemon introduced so far besides the starters, has some new metagame changing ability.

>immunity to priority
>priority healing
>defense boost every hit
>immune to most status effects
>pursuit applied to every attack
>poison whatever the fuck you want
>free substitute
>free and permanent eject button

And some people don't believe in power creep
