the number of posts here and on facebook have decreased noticeably already. i bet it will retain a decent amount of popularity but at a manageable level somewhere between where it is now and where ingress was before.

I'm not even one of those people who vehemently hates Pokemon Go, I like it a lot, but as it stands right now I'm not seeing the lasting appeal. Unless they fix the server issues and continue to add new features (newer gens, PVP, etc.) it's going to fade, but I guess that's true of any app.

Unless they start releasing more content soon, your average player is going to start hitting the grind wall.

I got to level 20 pretty quickly and am already running out of shit to do. I've captured everything where I live and work. All that's left to do is just capture more of them and do evolutions I probably won't use. Pretty fucking boring.

Only thing keeping me playing atm is a long road trip coming up going through most of the East Coast. Should find something of interest during the trip, I hope.
