I used to have a few of those plastic figures that said their cry when you moved a part or waved your hand in front of them, I remember having Mew and Marill. I don't know where Mew is now, but Marill ended up being tied to my cat's gravestone since he used to play with it all the time.

We still have a piece pop up sometimes despite tossing it and we have moved tons of times.

I hadn't remembered they existed for a long ass time and then about a month ago I had a dream I was in a hardware store (don't ask me why) and they had pokemon pop-tarts on clearance (they looked exctly like the real one). Something like this happened to mine. I think I bounced it too hard into the ceiling and some of the inside stuff sorta collapsed onto the figure inside, made it look like it had a silver/metallic coating. I used to pretend I had a new evolution called Metal Charizard and loved it even more.

Dude me and my friends were obcessed with combining pokemon thanks to that episode with gastly! We actually convinced people at school that in the japanese version there's actually a pokemon splicing lab in the area where all the ditto were and you could actually catch hybrid pokemon like Charisaur. About 5 years ago I picked this up at an antique store, and I think this is the only nostalgia I have that hasn't already been posted. I have the Welch's cups, or rather my grandma does, and my cousins would fight over who got Togepi or Bulbasaur. And I got a grab bag of the old figurines at a con last year, but they're all so loved. And I got like 5 of a couple, like venonat and oddish.

Yes. Once upon a time there were 3.5 inch floppy discs, which were small and oddly-shaped discs you could insert into a computer like a regular disc.

I had four of those as a kid, but I think most of them broke or disappeared over time. I have an Elekid one somewhere.

Fuck, you're right. I just remember being mystified by the "3 1/2 inch floppy disc" drive on my computer as a kid (since they were almost obsolete even then) and figured that that must've been referring to these since they were about that size.

Somehow that retardation managed to survive in my brain for 15 years because I never needed to think about mini-CDs or floppy discs again.
