This is quite literally, my favorite design of the entire Alola dex we've seen so far.
I'm dead serious. The lore for him is just the bounsweet on top.

It really grew on me. First I absolutely hated it, and thought that it was the worst pokemon design ever. But now i really like it. On my team for sure!

This pisses me off more than it should. Other than that, impeccable taste my friend. I literally love every design so far, although Bojack Horseman needs to grow on me a little more

That's because it's derived from the games. Anything anime-exclusive is to be treated as non-canon unless otherwise stated. Nowhere in the games do they mention eating pokemon. A more recent example the anime isn't canon would be the inclusion of Serena's tripokalon/pokemon showcase. On the other end, Zygarde forms are canon because while they appeared in the anime first, they are within the game's coding and lore, which is the primary source of anything pokemon-related.

Like I can kind of understand why some people don't like it's design, but I really don't get the outpouring of hatred it got when it was first revealed. I think it's face is really cute. My only issue with the design is the feet, and I wish it looked fluffier. But there's SO MANY worse designs in the entire dex than this guy.

I feel pretty much the opposite in terms of what I like about this pokemon. The design is pretty okay, but the lore is what makes the pokemon great in my opinion.

The slowpoke tail is described to be tasty and nutritious when they try to sell you it in Gold and silver and furthermore your trainer can actually eat one when visiting the restaurants in X and Y
