Why is it whenever Hippowdon is in 3D games, they never put it half submerged in sand like its official art. That was half the reason I loved Hippowdon in 4th gen.

The sand comes out from its body so whether it's on the bottom of the ocean or on top of a mountain it wouldn't change a thing.

One of my favourite designs only because of the way it is being portrayed. Otherwise, I find this Pokemon to be particularly boring, but -since it's a dynamic pose - it just looks better and more interesting.
One of the reasons I find most Pokemon to be boring. I can like any of them, if they would look somewhat interesting and not just stare at you like a generic blanket.

It doesn't produce enough sand from its body to submerge itself.

The Sugimori art and Gen 4 sprites are meant to give off the impression that it's in a desert, its natural habitat.
