Hate me for being a Charizardfag all you want, but honestly I can't see how any other starter can compete. It's a dragon after all.
How could some ugly rooster, stupid fox, lame rat, a fat pig even compete? Maybe Infernape has a chance, but even then I'd rather have a dragon over a monkey. Feraligatr and Torterra are quite good too.

As you can see, the others are either ugly or just lame. The new starters don't seem to be dethroning this majestic being as the best starter anytime soon. It's difficult to beat this well designed dragon.
Thus, I conclude Charizard to be the best starter ever, there is a reason it's so loved and iconic. Haters are just contrarians.
