>>27305056 I knew exactly what "literally Ruby/Sapphire with better graphics and more Pokemon" meant. Why? Because I don't romanticize RS. I remember it for exactly what it was: a step BACK from gen 2; the generation that turned away the biggest chunk of the casual fans; a big region that was mostly filled with grass, trees, and water, with next to nothing in the way of unique landmarks or memorable locations. I could go on, but I won't.
Gen 3 Hoenn is fine. It's OK. A solid 5/10: not bad but not great.
That's why people like me turned the "Hoenn confirmed" meme into a joke. It maybe started out as some kind of zealous wish from the Hoenn fans, but it didn't perpetuate because of some fervent desire for Hoenn remakes... It kept getting posted ad nausium precisely because people like me thought the idea was ridiculous on its face.
But whatever. I liked ORAS better than gen 3 and XY. It was a fine game. 7/10 from me.
