Jesus Christ, do any of you play competitive? If anything, they should make standard poisoning better. Since burns half attack and paralysis halves speed, I think poisoning should half defense.

Basically these, but I imagine Intense Burn would instead lower Def along with Atk, rather than just increase damage each turn.

Also, I imagine Deep Sleep would be a guaranteed 5 turns, and Absolute Zero would be less likely to thaw each turn.

I would go the opposite direction and make the current version of the status ailments the improved versions and instead add weaker versions of all of them

Badly poisoned is a decent thing on it's own.

Burn cuts attack. If a severe burn were introduced it would have to be with the trade-off that the lowered attack stat is nullified.

Paralysis cuts speed. So, see above and apply to this.

I think they are fine as they are as you have to pick your status conditions. Yeah, toxic can chip away at HP faster but sometimes a burn on a physical attacker is good. Or paralysis on a speedy pokemon can be helpful too.

I'm honestly more surprised there isn't some kind of "Frostbite" move but, then again, Rock and Ice get damaging weather moves with Hail and Sandstorm respectively.
