Personally, pure aesthetic a. Its sleek and the wings ending in fingers give it a slightly Dragon feel. And I jus prefer simple designs honestly.

Ho-oh and Lugia have conflicting art styles. Ho-oh looks realistic and detailed whereas Lugia has a cartoony mouth and retarded looking finger-hand-wings.
