I knew it! In these games the Pokémon locaitons won't be static like in past Pokémon games ,that's why the QR codes exist, you won't be able to just go to Serebii and look up for the location of a specific Pokémon, it will be variable.

As I've said before many times on this board, it looks very clearly to me that ORAS suffered the same problem of many games in 2014 such as Assassin's Creed and those shitty war fps games.

Their timeline rushed a game to market before they could polish it. With the other games, they made day 0 updates or day 7 updates that fixed some horrible problems.

With ORAS they simply never made those updates. It explains the battle resort, the lag problems with signing online, and many other lazy problems. Why they didn't continue to fix it after it hit the shelves? Beats me.

Maybe they started on SM?

I think the new engine will affect movement and the grid movement more than graphics. The grid looks to be completely gone so you need a new (or modified) engine to handle full 3d movemebt I'm guessing.

The Legendary dynamic hasn't been cool since gen 3. B/W and X/Y were already phoning in the Legendary's stories, I wish they would switch it up and do something like gen 1 again with mew and mewtwo's awesome story with the scientists and Giovanni. Although I don't remember how much of that story was actually in the original games.

Really? I never saw Gen 6 really tapping into the potential of the 3DS.

Then again, Gamefreak is notorious for bad coders. One reason why they had to get Iwata to come in and massively compress shit for gen 2 to allow the entire Kanto region to be included into the game.

This interview makes me excited, "sounds of waves near the sea" "progression of time" there was gameplay shown that showed the world in a sun setting enviornment, weve seen night footage , it looks aesthetically pleasing, relaxing, and adventerous with that island with no civilization on it. Yeah if they only introduce like 80 new Pokemon this gen, I don't mind. From the teailers the regoon looks amazing, and from this interview it sounds like some seroous work was put into actually making the single player portion excellent then just great. Somewhere in gen 4 they decided to phone it in while focusing on the online half of the game. Sure BW had a great story, but the region wasn't all that, and B2W2 along with XY was just "there" in this department.

Ever since gen 3 and the orange islands episodes I've been wishing for a truly tropical island pokemon.

And I always wished with a mainline pokemon with free movement and this type of camera, ORAS camera was so fucking shit because it was basically the same, instead of exploring new angles and give hoenn a brand new facade it just felt like playing a rom hack remake of hoenn with just better graphics.

If this thing has really good post game, more than 100 pokemon and a fleshed out world with variance it's gonna be by far the best series yet.

Nah. Unova is on the top along with Sinnoh for best region. It has this absolutely insane balance of non linear progression and route exploration which offered some great experiences. The issue with gen 5 and 6 like I originally said is that with multiplayer as the focus, its just there. A great region(or not in Kalos' case) with a story that just goes through the notions, with nothing else there to enrich it, except for Pokestar Studios and the hidden grottoes. This is alleviates in ORAS and why it gets the edge over XY. You have stuff to do while exploring, like DexNav, the Pokemon Contests, and the trick room house. There are features to enrich the single player aspect, and its that barebone feel that I can't get over with gen 5 and 6. Solid stuff is there, just the overall experience is fucking botched to hell ans back.

Since we're discussing Ohmori's ORAS, I fucking hate retards who say the new EXP share makes the game too easy. You're not supposed to be using the EXP for your main team, numbnuts. It's inclusion is to encourage trying out new Pokemon, catching something out of the way or maybe going back for one, and leveling it quickly so it's up to snuff. It encourages a wide variety of playstyles and Pokemon usage.

It is NOT designed for grinding with your main six the entire game.

The exp share is still broken if it's only balanced around one possible play style. In BW you could rotate Pokemon just fine because weak Pokemon gained a shit ton of exp. In fact, I'd argue it's even better than XY's system because you can focus on one or two Pokemon rather than slowly overleveling EVERYTHING.

Yes, some of the Unova clones do a good job of differentiating themselves from their Kanto equivalent, but most of the time they're lazy as fuck. Hell, the route 1 rodent and bird are even a rat and pidgeon again. And check the size and weight for each of the pairs above - even those are the same.

And Genesect and Mewtwo do not have the same story at all for one Genesect is a revived pokemon fossil that was experimented on by Plasma and Mewtwo was a Mew baby that was altered.

As for watchhog and Unfeazant it doesn't take a genius to figure out how they're different.

You're basically saying a single thing makes something a clone, using your own logic Dragonite is a clone of Charizard because they're both dragons and have a similar color scheme.
