Why did X/Y ruin blue shinies? Any that were vibrant blue before are now dull. Cloyster and Nidoking suffer from this problem.

The dull colors was supposed to resemble the dull palettes of the 2D art. Everything looked more vibrant in ORAS, but at the cost of you needing to play ORAS.

It looks like they re-saturated the colors in Sun/Moon, so there's no need to fret.

Everything in ORAS is completely 100% identical to XY. They didn't change anything about the Pokémon's textures.

Also, SM looks the same as well.

shiny changes seem pretty arbitrary, they probably didn't even change them deliberately, just did something that looked good in context of the new models
