>>27345987Sure, for the Kanto dex the first 9 slots are the starters (in the order of grass, fire, water as I recall), then there's the earlygame bug families (Caterpie first and Weedle second). We're at #15 at that point. Then come the early birds (Pidgey, Spearow) and Rattata, and I think either Sandshrew or Ekans is relatively early in the dex as well. #25 is Pikachu followed by Raichu. After that it's all a fucking blur, except that the Pokemon are *vaguely* ordered according to the general order you may encounter them in the game (though not nearly perfectly, there will be gaps in your dex in the midgame, and Magikarp especially expands it early on). One of my favourite Pokemon, Electrode, happens to be Pokemon #101. The last ones in the Kanto dex are the Dratini line and the legendaries. Following this kind of ordering (starters and some early shitters first, legendaries last) I can reason what the numbers of certain Pokemon in the following dexes are, but fuck if I actually REMEMBERED them by heart, that is a level of dedication I have no intention of reaching. Also, the individual regional dexes of most of the games have their own numbering system that doesn't follow the national dex, do you remember those too? The Johto dex is a fucking clusterfuck, and the Sinnoh dex went through changes between D/P and Plat.
