The main issues with Noctowl and Golduck getting the psychic typing is that Natu and Staryu exist in their respective gens.

Definitely need to give the lake trio an additional typing. Maybe then they'll be actually worthwhile.

Physic/Fairy seems like a logical choice, or perhaps a different secondary typing for each one. Maybe Fairy, Ghost and Dark

Samurott is fine as an Ohsawott evo. Its Dewott that threw people off by not being a good middleground of the line.

Jellicent should lose its ghost type for the sole reason it's a fucking royal jellyfish and nowhere near being ghostly.
Mawile should lose its fairy type since its based on a japanese yokai (monster) and to add salt, we have another yokai based pkm, who is froslass. Now what type was froslass (the snow woman) again? Giving it a ghost or dark type would fit much better, I'd even take it as a pure steel type

I'd like them to collapse some of the evolution methods. Get rid of the Moss and Ice Rocks and every incense.

With your pics OP I always thought an ability that slightly boosted moves, so for instance Noctowl would be one that boosted psychic moves, instead of a new type. LIke "Old Wisdom"

Boost abilities would only relate to types the pokemon wasn't.

It has more in common with a venus flytrap than a fairy.

Fairies are the little good helpers, which can be even seen in their strengths and weaknesses like:
good against dragons (evil in mythology), dark (literally evil), fighting (magic>brawns)

Yeah but it's kinda obvious with Mawile and Mimikyu that they also want spoopy fairies as well which is pretty neat.

I'm looking forward to a dark/fairy and a fighting/fairy.

A fighting/fairy pixieish Link-like pokémon as long as they don't make it too humanlike would be fucking great.

Don't kid yourself dude. A stretched out Oshawott is a lazy af design. It gave people a false image of what Samurott would actually look like. I like the whole line anyways but its a shame Samurott is blamed for fucking up the line when its literally an underwater warrior.

Means STAB Dream Eater, making up for it's HORRIFIC stats somewhat. (Also Delcatty SERIOUSLY needs a stat boost.)

Also fits with it's almost monk-like tolerance for transgressions against it.
