Its been a while since hes created a working chimera and the commitee he is a part of wants results, he desperately tries to make a chimera without human dna but fails, so he splices his daughter with his dog, it works, but at the terrible cost of his only family member and pet.
Edward (the main character) realises the new chimera is the scientist's daughter and beats the shit out of him, while the demented creature murmers, "Ed..ward.. on..ii...chan".
It comes to light that the chimera he made a while ago was also made using his wife, who was about to leave him, showing how fucked the scientist was.
