>>27358732It's okay. The writing is bad and not very well spell/grammar checked in places and the plot is riddled with bad pacing and gaping plotholes, but aside from one pretty bullshit fight near the beginning of the game, I could beat nearly any gym leader with a well-thought out strategy and balanced team which made it pretty enjoyable. I never had to grind up a new party member or anything unless I did it voluntarily. Some people take fault with the Pokemon distribution, which I can understand since your starter will be your best mon pretty much throughout the game and you don't get any tms worth a damn for a long-ass time. You might find some new bros that hilp you pull through the game. I know for a fact that Kricketune was surprisingly fucking awesome and Trubbish was an indispensable early game party member. It kinda reminds me of Colosseum in that aspect where good Pokemon are scarce and you have to improvise with what you have. The field system is a good idea though admittedly shoddy in places. Said difficult earlygame fight is difficult only because of the field effect. and turns what would already be an intimidating Pokemon for that point in the game into a horror.
Essentially, play it for the gameplay, don't play it for the writing.
