There are many genwunners who only praise the first games and shit on later gens because they see other people do it. Also they think it's just cool that way.

You'd be surprised how many genwunners are in the 15-18 year old range.

Really anyone here younger than 24 were probably too young to really remember the first games when they first came out, and yet I guarantee you there are many genwunners 23 years old and lower.

Also with emulators and let's plays being a thing, many people's first experiance with Pokemon could've been R/B no matter what year it is.

So yeah, Genwun is not age exclusive.
