Unova 2.0. They expanded the failed expriment into a beautifully connected region that has some of the best dungeons overall.
Pros
-Cohesive Region Environment. Sinnoh did this well as well, but something about Unova is even better. Maybe its the seasons that changes perception?
-The hybrid mao design. Now this is something BW had, but its part of the failed experiment bit. It had something amazing going, but it was far too short. Basically, the game is a super dense linear game that has fucktons, and I mean Fucktons with a capital F, of side exploration. Yes its linear, but each route is an explosion of side areas and PoIs.Because there are more routes, basically there is more to do, simple as that. And some stuff in the main quest is even left for the post league, so you do get to travel around a lot. But yeah, the routes man. That route 3 fighting trainer area next to Pinwheel Forest. The Desert Resort in Route 4. The Iccirus Moors. That route 23 strength puzzle area. all top notch side exploration. This super dense design is seen only in the region, and hopefully with the way Alola is looking, that super dense design returns. Best route desgn yet.
-The dungeons, especially the B2W2 stuff. Clay's Mines, Castelia's Sewers, Connecting Cave, its all top tier stuff. And this is all on top of the older stuff like Twist Mountain, Chargestone Cave, and Iccirus Caves. Giant Chasm and the Reversal Cave are kinda weak though.
-Does route music count? Cause its all solid, no duds at all. Route 23 is a worthy successor to route 10.
-I like the B2W2 victory road more then the BW one. The fact that there are ancient ruins beneath it and signs of an old civilization make the location of N's Castle logical, and finding its decrepit remains after the league is the best holy shit moment in the games. I was without internet those days, so buying this completely blind was so fun.
