Can someone explain to me some stuff about the Pokemon world?

Are all animals in the pokemon universe basically pokemon? In that universe, are there insects like ants and roaches? and are they pokemon and catchable?

Are there regular pets like cats and dogs?

Do they eat meat in the pokemon world? What would a hamburger be made of? Taurus meat?

Since there are plant pokemon are all plants alive? Would a potato be a pokemon? Do the people eat oddish salad?

Wtf is up with Mr mime? is that a pokemon or a midget?

I've only seen a few pokemon cartoons and noticed that Meowth was the only pokemon that could speak. Why is that? Can other pokemon talk and have a conversation with people? And why do other pokemon can only say their name and nothing else?

When a pokemon is caught in a pokeball, does it work the same as the ghostbusters catching a ghost?

Can people travel in the pokeballs?

Do all pokemon come from eggs? And do they make omelettes out of them?
