Put it this way, I had jolteon vs a sameish CP vaporeon and the vaporeon still did really well. When I used vaporeon against ANYTHING else for some reason it tore shit up regardless of types.

Vaporeon is just OP as fuck. Water Gun being one of the best moves in the game help too.

Also why are low damage second.moves such dogshit? By the time I use a waterpulse I couldve used 3-4 wg for.more damage. Might as well just look for a water gun and hydro pump one or something.

Electric types are pretty trash until niantic rebalances speed, which they might never do. The only good electric types might end up being ampharos, zapdos, and magnezone. And dps/hp are king.

Blissey's def and atk will be pretty awful. Might be able to stall some mons past the time limit as a defender but that will be it's only niche.
Tyranitar will be decent if it gets mud shot or something better. Rock and dark are pretty bad right now as attack types.
Gastrodon will be godly as a defender if it gets both mud shot and water gun. Dat hp, defense, and atk.

Theorymonning, how will wobbuffet, shedinja, and slaking work?

The gym level is how many Pokemon can fit in it; if there are 3 in a lvl3 gym, you can't. If it's say, a level 5 gym with only 4 in, then opposite the Battle button is a button to add your Pokemon.

The only fun left in it is the ability to go around from gym to gym and absolutely decimating anything and everything.

Also pretty fun to just level shit up for fun when you have 500k dust.

It's nice not having to worry about not having enough pokeballs anymore or driving shitty because I'm worried about getting the pokestops. That's all gone now.

Not sure what progress quest is but i'm not going to look it up

But basically anyone above level 15/16 can do that. Gyms are not designed to be defensible for long periods of time. Even if you stacked a gym with your top 6 in the pic, it would fall to a single enemy trainer in 25 minutes--half that if it was a group of them.

Pokemon like Scyther Onix and Chansey which get evolutions in Gen II have very low CP caps. The implication being that Niantic is treating them like first stage pokemon. That leads many people to believe that at minimum they'll be releasing Gen II pokemon.

Feels good to just pick up an eevee/nidoran every half an hour or so when you can't be fucked going out.

The houses just across the street seem to spawn clefairy/seel/nidorino at a decent rate too, so looks like it wont be long before I get myself a nidoking.

I just wish I had some pokestops closer to home, the good farming route is so far from my house and usually the times I can get down there are dead hours for local activity.

But when you get a high CP pokemon, it doesn't matter if you evolve first or second. I personally would evolve first, see if you get a decent attack, and then spend the candies if you want.

Evolving won't move that semicircle CP bar on the pokemon. The max CP will increase and so will the pokemon's CP, but the bar will remain proportionally the same.

Candies will fill up the bar a certain percentage. It doesn't matter if you use it before or after.

No the pokemon are already out there and set in stone (for a fixed time period for each pokemon). What you do is scan your location and then make for the pokemon nearby as quickly as you can. I'll do a scan and see a Meowth and Squirtle four or five blocks away, far enough that it isn't appearing on your nearby list but close enough that you can get there quickly if you know where it is.

Gen 1 Persian was pretty great. Slash's crits combined with normal STAB Hyper Beam on 115 base speed (faster than Tauros) made it decently viable. Learning Bubblebeam in the gen where Rock types were the only check to normal types was good too.

Anyone else level 20+ getting sick of pidgeys/weedles/caterpies etc taking 5+ pokeballs?

How does a 200cp pidgey break out of 3 great throws in a row from a level 22 trainer???

It's ridiculous. I'm going to have to go and find 3 pokestops right next to each other to farm pokeballs (and even then I could use more pokeballs than I'm getting from spawns) - it's pokemon go not pokemon sit

(If you live in a city you may not have this problem - if you're below level 20 you don't understand how bad it is)

Found that curveball helps quite a bit. Even if they don't stack ep wise with the throw bonus they probably stack catch rate wise.

Its not even bad its just autists complaining that high CP mons wont stay in their standard pokeballs. Nothing to do with them being pidgy/ratata/weedle

I caught a 600 CP Growlith yesterday with 2 normal pokeballs. When I walked the dog this morning i couldnt even hit 150cp pidgy without 3+ balls.
