>As Team Rocket were busy celebrating news from Giovanni, Inkay stole their food and proceeded to eat it from under their table. While Team Rocket were on their balloon, the same Inkay from before approached them when they dropped their sandwich and sprayed ink at them. After Team Rocket cleaned themselves off, James scanned the Inkay to get some details about him and the Team Rocket trio attempted to battle him with Wobbuffet. However, James offered Inkay some food instead as bait. While Inkay was distracted, James threw a Poké Ball at him and caught him, much to the surprise of Jessie and Meowth.
>Yamask appeared before Team Rocket in a warehouse. Jessie called out her Woobat to battle him, but James claimed he was hungry and he proceeded to feed him. Once he was full, he happily went into James's Poké Ball, the trio welcoming their newest addition with enthusiasm.
>Depressed, James was instantly cheered up when a real Chimecho flew up to him, Jessie, and Meowth, using its Heal Bell technique on them. James asked Chimecho if it wanted to be his Pokémon, and it agreed, wrapping itself around his head in excitement.
> Team Rocket had been chased by some Beedrill because they had landed in the Beedrill's nesting place. Cacnea had been walking by. When it saw that they were in need of help, it used Pin Missile to drive the Beedrill away. In gratitude, James gave it a bag of cookies. However, the bag was closed. Later, after defeating the poacher, Team Rocket encountered Cacnea on a road. It gave James the bag, and James opened the bag and gave Cacnea a cookie. James then asked Cacnea if it would like to join him
