What kind of logic is that? Aegislash is explicitly a sword made from metal, which is why it's a Steel type. Haxorus' tusks aren't made of metal, which is why it ISN'T a Steel type.

You're saying just because its tusks resemble axes it should be a Steel type, because most axes are made of metal. That's like saying any Pokemon that has any feature that resembles a weapon should be Steel type, just because most weapons are made of metal.

When did I make the argument that Moonlight is a dark attack? I argued that Umbreon has a connection to the Night/Moon, it evolves at night and is affected by the Moon's radiation. Clearly Game Freak disagrees that that has no relationship to Dark as a type, because they made it Dark-type.

Wimpod's pokedex also talks about it secreting poisonous fluid, but it's Bug/Water.

blastoise does have metal elements but i don't know how they would justify a steel typing. the problem is that the steel canons shoot water. it doesn't have any other steel on it's body so it would seem odd to give it any steel type moves other than maybe status moves? i guess it already has flash cannon by level.

they could easily have said that haxorus tusks and armor were metal and then given it a shit load of steel moves. it would have been easily believable.

i think you're stuck on what the pokedex entries say and anon is implying that they would change the pokedex entry to make it steel.

also i never really got the psychic part of the line - on slowking maybe yes, because that red orb thing in its crown might imply that it has psychic powers or some shit, but what resembles psychic on the other two? and what about them is the water part? the shellder biting them? slowpoke could literally be a normal type and noone would bat an eye
