Normies don't care about the power of a system as much as the graphics it can produce and when it comes to that it's down to the developer rather than the power of the system.

If power were such a big thing the PS4 wouldn't have sold and people would have just bought PCs and the Vita would have outsold the 3DS.
The reality is that power doesn't matter as much as it's paraded as a fashion symbol.
