>>27439654I find Entermaid's design to be beautiful. Beautiful in the same vein as Milotic, Serperior, Suicune, Articuno, Aurorus, and many more. Like these Pokemon, Entermaid is visually appealing and striking, at least to me.
I guess you could categorize Pokemon into different types of "looks". For example, Tyrantrum, Charizard, Aggron, and Nidoking have very tough and strong appearances. Jagged edges, sharp spikes, fangs, and other details definitely give these Pokemon a collective sense of brute strength and power. And that's appealing to some. Nothing wrong it at all. I actually like these designs myself as well.
Other Pokemon are designed with elegance and beauty in mind, and we get Pokemon such as Milotic and Aurorus. Entermaid would fit in this category, at least in my opinion.
That's what I was trying to get at when I said "There's bound to be something for everyone." Not all Pokemon are designed with the same aesthetic approach, and that's what makes the franchise so interesting. There are tough and powerful Pokemon like Tyrantrum, cool heroic Pokemon like Gallade, elegant and lovely Pokemon like Milotic, cutesy and cuddly Pokemon like Pachirisu, and of course, unique and thought-provoking designs like Claydol and Gothitelle. And sometimes we get a blend of sorts.
To me, Entermaid is a visually arresting and refreshingly feminine design. That, and I've always loved mermaids since back when I was a kid.
