>Goriboru were genetically modified in labs after rugby was popularized in the Alola region. If you approach them in a group, they’ll immediately try to form a rugby match. When Goriboru feel threatened, they kick their rugby ball-shaped tail at the threat. The tail is springy and elastic and can stretch up to 20 feet. Despite their extreme power, their curiosity leads Goriboru to approach people or Pokémon that are standing still.
>Goriboru eat trash that they find fallen on the ground after rugby matches. They also scavenge any garbage that’s been dropped in the sea after water rugby matches, so they’re highly valued as cleaners. They sometimes carry rugby equipment or other valuable items, so humans or Pokémon like Murkrow may target them.
>Goriboru has the new Rugby Time! Ability, an Ability that no other Pokémon has had before. With the Rugby Time! Ability, if this Pokémon’s HP drops below half in battle, it will change the mechanics of the game from a turn based RPG to a FIFA-styled rugby minigame.
