>>27440357It really is forced, though. They stuck Pikachu in a fighting game, it has its own voice actor in the games now instead of sounds like the rest of the Pokemon, it gets special contest clothes, it gets special movesets....etc.,
It's always difficult because Pikachu by itself, game-wise, is pretty meh-tier. But the show-canon forces you to like it by attaching all these things to it and then the game had to follow up even though there was no reason to do so. I don't watch the anime so maybe that's why I personally feel like Pikachu's presence is annoying everywhere I look, but maybe for those that watch the anime more feel like it's more...natural? I guess?
