It's okay and the pacing is a little better than the handheld games but once you reach Blaine on Cinnabar you really start to feel to the paywall aspect of the game taking 7+ hours to level all your pokemon up to 70+ and this is without evolving them which slows their leveling by raising exp required to level by 2x and then the 8th badge goes even higher up to 85 i think and there's nothing but level 30 pokemon to train on but you know you could ease your grinding pain by paying real money for membership doubling your exp gain. They have full control over the game there is absolutely no reason why they couldn't add in training areas with 60+ wild pokemon other than it being a greedy paywall. Even after you get all 8 Kanto badges you get to grind in Victory Road on level 40 Geodudes that can't be defeated in 1 hit. The E4 all have 85+ Pokemon so expect to grind on these Geodudes until your fingers bleed.
The only thing that drew me to it was going to the other regions but without buying membership you're looking at 2 days minimum in Victory Road grinding endlessly to get there.
