If Nintendo consoles ever adopt systemwide achievements (akin to Xbox Gamerscore or Playstation Trophies), what types of achievements would a main series Pokemon game have?
Here are my ideas:
>An achievement for each badge
>One for beating the champion
>Some achievements for doing a given number of trades and battles
>A couple absurd ones, like completing the National Pokedex

I did in X version. That doesn't stop it from being an absurd achievement though. You have to remember we spend too much time playing Pokemon. Completing the National Dex takes way more time and effort than the requirements for most given PlayStation Trophies.

Not counting story achievments they would probably be stuff like this:

>Complete the regional Pokédex!
>Complete the national Pokédex!
>Find a shiny Pokémon!
>Level up a Pokémon to Level 100!
>Get Five Hearts in Pokémon Amie!
>Buy all the clothes avaiable!

Some difficult ones:

They are literally achievements in the exact same way. The only difference is no gamerscore or level to share.

Yeah, I guess I didn't think of that.
I was just shocked to find out it was a medal in the first place after I got PokeRus outside of Nimbasa. You can't even go online with them anymore so you just have to get lucky or have friends.

to be fair, there's no reason for gen 6 to not have them be in-game. It surprised me they even existed, I thought it was another nifty feature they had done away with in gen 6. Like how gen 5 doesn't have any berries. Despite the heavy-focus in gen3/4 then the even bigger focus on them in gen 6.
