What? Duh. Its still the same Pokemon, just a different form. I don't think it matters what gen they were released. What makes no sense is that nobody knew this about these Pokemon for 6 generations.

Zubat is equally Kanto pokemon as it is Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Kalos pokemon.

Both vulpix and sandshrew are Kanto pokemon introduced in Alola. They just got new forms.

Exeggutor is an Alola pokemon introduced in Kanto.

For classification purposes they're the same Pokemon, like Unown. For all intents and purposes though they're different Pokemon though, a product of environment. Like a Nile Crocodile isn't the same as a Florida Crocodile. Similar enough but different.
