Yup , however the games are entertaining so I still play . Lots of stuff goes unnoticed though , I liked where someone pointed out that one of the rooms has the alchemical symbol for one of the elements (can't recall which) but it fits the theme of the game .

That'd be neat. Shame we have a Rotom Pokedex instead of a pen and paper one. When a new pokemon is added, they get sketched in, and when you catch them, they get colored in.

this allows there to be more scripted things in the game. they could create a much more exciting narrative

There are four trails per island, each of which seems to eventually escalate into a totem battle (judging by the mantis totem seemingly appearing in Mallow's area). The Kahunas are the island bosses.

It doesn't, but in the footage all four of the trial leaders we've seen are in recognizable parts of Akala island (the one with the volcano), except for the electric guy who's indoors.
