Come with better names for this Alola forms, /vp/.

Sandshrew should be Icepick that evolves to Iciclash. (Icicle + slash)

Vulpix should be Borealix. (Borealis + six)

Ninetales shoud be Chionine. (Chione is a nymph, goddess of snow and also daughter of Boreas. Adding the suffix nine makes it sound like "canine".)

Did you even read the lore about ice Sandshrew and Sandslash? There used to be regular Sandshrew and Sandslash in Alola but because their habitat changed they had to move to a different, colder place and adapted to that environment. They're literally still Sandslash and Sandshrew.

I've just been calling them Snowshrew and Iceslash.

I don't feel as though there's any reason to complicate things.
Most pokemon names are based on dumb puns anyway.

The other pokemon I don't even feel as though they require new names for their variants since their original names are based on non-elemental qualities, I.E: Ninetails, Vulpix are named after their tails. Literally.

So.. yeah!

Only Ice Shard and Bullet Punch combined with Technician as HA, can save Sandslash from the NU oblivion.
