Even before these were released people constantly talked trash about yokai watch recolors. I like all of the alola forms though. And Exeggutor is more than a recolor anyway.

Rhydon, although I doubt it'll get anything considering it already has a cross-gen evolution.
But I'm eager to see the Fighting-type Abra, Nidoran, and Dodrio lines, not to mention Dark Rattata/Raticate.

Because those occupy space that could be used by actual new Yokais. Digimon never had a limit, subspecies were a thing in MH since MHG, and in Dark Souls it applies only to a few enemies.

What do different typing/ability/moveset have to do with being a recolor? You realize recolors in other monster games have different stats/elements/attacks right? The only thing that makes something not a recolor is design..

Recolor only implies that the monster uses an existing design with a different color palette. If you played any game with actual recolors you would know they have different stats.

Because until now, Pokemon didn't do shit like this that other franchises love to constantly pull off. It differentiated them from others, but since gen6 GF is obsessed with gimmicks that keep their fans interested instead of focusing in making better games.
Even if you like the designs, this is not a good sign.

Maybe because YW has like thirty cat recolors of its mascot, and it's only been around three years now? How many will there be if this shitty franchise survives to see its twentieth birthday? They even put the recolors on the box art now.

It's probably gen 1 only, in which case I want Lapras/Arbok/Tentacruel/Marowak

If they include Johto mons I want Octillery/Mantine/Dunsparce

If they include Hoenn mons I want Seviper/Wailord/Milotic

I imagine there's no chance of anything higher than gen 4 getting a form.
