>>27505446I grew up with RBY/GC. I love them but I don't think I've gone back and played them in a long time. The nostalgia of replaying RBY on the DS recently was fun, but I will immediately go to HGSS for a Gen 2 experience over the originals.
Honestly, the games that came Gen 3 onward had more stuff to do and more replay value. Even Fire Red and Leaf Green did everything RBY did, but better. The original games of Gen 1 and 2 are great, but they are held up purely by nostalgia when you can just turn to FRLG or HGSS.
