Have we considered the fact that maybe Rockruff is the key behind the supposed split evos? The Chinese leaks said they couldnt be certain, so maybe it's not that the starters have split evos, maybe Rockruff evolves based on what starter is in the party. It was stated somewhere rockruff has something to do with the starters, anyway
