i still have a gameboy classic and Im thinking of buying a gameboy advance.

can i link/trade between pokemon red and blue with the gameboy classic and gameboy advance? with what cable?

should i get gameboy advance or gameboy advance sp?

I believe there was a third party link cable that connected between a gba and a classic/game boy color (or two game boy/colors)

The OG GBA eats batteries like crazy!! and it got no backlight, which is also pretty annoying
