Doubtful. He was summoning Tapu Koko in one of the cutscenes so he most likely doesnt have one in a pokeball, besides Tapu Koko must be aviable to catch for the player

I think he'll have some aerly mons like Vikavolt, Pikipeks second evo and maybe Gumshoos

I don't get the whole, "first island" argument. So the first island is supposed to have such little content, that the first leader having three pokemon is somehow balanced or even challenging? No. This game is going to be just as easy, if not easier than XY/ORAS. Pokemon will never be hard or challenging.

The official site mentions combo attacks. I'm expecting Totem Lurantis to summon things that can use Sunny Day so it can smack you with Solar Blade.

Also, 2v1s are difficult early game when you don't have any AoE.

The Gumshoos battle could be a problem depending on how Stakeout works in practice. If your lead gets knocked out and everyone you send in after gets a bite taken out of them it could be an uphill battle and I really hope it is

Technically it wasn't on his team, but you were forced to fight Kyurem-Black/White while it was under Ghetsis' control. While it was because you'd be catching two Pokemon at once if you could catch it, it also means that GF isn't afraid to force you to fight a Legendary Pokemon before you're granted access to it.

I imagine that Stakeout is just a damage multiplier for attacks on switches, kind of similar to how Analytic works on switches but maybe stronger. I doubt it works in a way that gives the Stakeout user a free attack every time you send a pokemon in.

Well, it says on the website

>this Pokémon’s moves can deal twice the normal damage to any Pokémon that switch in or enter the field mid-battle.

So yeah, not autohit on switch in, but coming from a totem and whatever summons are out is going to hurt
