>>27532473I actually feel like it at least tried to resemble Popplio apart from its color nose and the red mane (which turned out to be red sea sponge according to D.I) more than Poppmaid herself. Despite the collar, it still kept it and the strongman unitard actually makes some kind of sense when you consider the color of plenty of sea lions.
At least in Poppmaid's case, it tried to retain the head shape, the nose color and the veils idea? But everything else looks so different. I'm still trying to figure out for instance where Popplio's whiskers went. Eye style change isn't that much of a surprise, but it's still quite a shock. It also got these spikes, which I assume they help underwater? It's arguable whether the hair she has is legitimately hair or just water flowing, although that seems like a strange thought because that would mean its hair would vanish underwater. She looks like she shed what she previously was in a way and burst out of its own skin, which is unsettling to say the least. I'm at least hoping it has incredibly small sea lion ears behind those abnormally large starfish earrings.
