>>27541680Yeah man, those were all just illustrations. They may have been shittu, but I think you're getting hung up on small details. Replace "Mona Lisa" with whatever you consider the most meticulously crafted work of art. I just said Mona Lisa cuz it's accessible. I don't think I need to know much about wine to wince when somebody pours an expensive bottle down the drain. But still, just an example.
I agree price isn't a perfect measure of worth. Once again, just the most accessible way of determining worth. Didn't mean much by it.
And lastly, cringe is fine. It's okay and part of life. Do cringy things every once in a while. It makes you humble and honest with yourself. I'll give props to realism guy. I might find his work mildly cringe-inducing (mildly, mind you, this shit got blown out of whack), but he's talented and enjoys doing what he's doing. I retract my "objectively" statement from before. "Cringe" or secondhand embarassment/shame is all based on perspective. If you can understand someone's reasoning, you likely won't feel cringe.
Man, I got grilled in this thread.
>>27541683I'm cool, but thanks for the concern. I think we're all simmering down.
