I only played Pokemon up to Emerald and I have to admit my preference is genwun. I only found out about mega evolutions recently, but kinda disappointed how little the actual changes are physically.

I mean if the change is "mega" shouldn't Charizard grow way bigger, with razor sharp teeth instead of just 4 baby teeth, real horns, and finally be on all fours like a dog.

I have one and it's super shitty and unpleasant to use
Outrage, Flare Blitz, DD, Roost
EVs all in Attack and Speed

Y is so superior in every situation I swear. What am I doing wrong?

But it's still a charizard, rather than a new pokemon. Charizard y looks pretty sick in my opinion. It looks more aerodynamic and the extra hand wings are cool. Don't really like the colors on x and beyond the spikes and mouth flames it doesn't really look stronger, but the shiny is a cool color.

Too generic for me.
But at least it's an improvement compared to Charmeleon, unlike Blastoise.

Favorite Pokemon. To me he's the quintessential Pokemon in the way he evolves, what he becomes, and that you can have him as your very. I'm a dragonfag though. Recently bred and raised a perfect Charizard for Mega X.

I don't care for the one in the anime much.

Yeah that's true.

I remember Charizard actually having some kind of character arc. He always acted like an obnoxious asshole, but gets beat down by stronger pokemon. He even tries fitting in with the other Charizards but gets humiliated. Then he cries and Ash leaves him there to get stronger. Now he's out there still training while helping out his boy once in a while.
