I boxed in Hoenn. Mudkip was my original, but come ORAS the mudkip meme+it being ugly in 3D made me box. Treecko was lame, and Torchic started good but turned into bipedal barafaggotry.

I wanted to pick Popplio but I'm not so sure anymore, I like the design but I don't want to reset the game again and again to get a female one.
Rowlet final stage is god tier though, but i'd like to stick with my first choice

Game Freak dropped the ball hard. People who liked Litten wanted a big cat Pokemon, not a human Pokemon with a cat face. That said it does still have its own appeal, it's just a massive disappointment for most Litten fans.

I'm the kind of person who is psychologically incapable of using a mon with a slightly hindering nature, even ingame. Competitive pokémon made me completely autistic even about my ingame mons and team balance so the idea of using a mon I don't like for half the game is impossible for me.
Also I judge a pokémon by its final form, the first one doesn't count much for me.

Why? He's on point. In one of those thread there are actually many good arguments on why Litten3 is a good design. Tho most recent is basically that we have 16 cat-like quadrupedal Pokémon already.

You could just use two water types. It's not like this series demands perfect strategy for the single player portion of the game. If you can at least find something unique for each one, they won't feel redundant. I even had Blastoise and Starmie in my Blue team.

We also now have 7 generations straight bipedal Fire starters, and 4 of them blatantly anthropomorphic. Not to mention there's a pretty big risk of getting a 4th Fire/fight.

Apes are not bipedal. They just stand on 2 legs or mimic humans. They can walk on 2 feet for small distances, but as a biologist, they're not classified as bipedal.

Plus as they said in another thread, 6 bipedal starters (stille different from one another) are better then 17 cat Pokémon on 4 legs. 6 since Infernape is not bipedal
