I found out about this recently. The idea is okay, but 98% of the fakemon are just lame.

There's seriously one called 'Daikatuna' that's just a tunafish with noodly arms and a katana strapped to its head.

That's the old Pokedex. I think the newer fakemon are much better designed. Even if they are kind of meh, it is one of the few finished fangames out there.

A lot are the same, like the starters, but they've got better spritework I think. The early designs are still kind of rough, but updating sprites can go a long way.

As long as my favs made it in, I'm happy.

I'll never understand why pokemon artists show off a lot of animated sprites with their fakemon, make a fan game, and not animate the sprites.

It's a lot of work yeah, but all the other graphics are pretty much BW/2 and the sprites not animating just make it look like an even shittier DP.
