No, Tropius wouldn't get an Alolan Variant.
Tropius getting an Alolan Variant would be fucking stupid and you're a fucking bunyuck for completely missing the point of what justifies a "variant" in the first place: they're sub-species evolved and speciated due to isolation and so forth in unique environments.
Is what I'm saying for the moment until conflicting information rises.
Tropius could for all I know actually get an Alolan sub-species/variant where it in fact.. I dunno: becomes absolutely fucking MASSIVE because due to living on a "secluded island paradise free of predators" it can now grow even more fruit and become even more humongous and sluggish.
Just a huge, gigantic, tons-of-fun, flabby brontosaurus-island Tropius that has an entire cornucopia or something.
I just think it's more immediately likely that they'll be left alone but absurdly common- like, they'll be hanging around in the zones first forest or something.
