It's a hard life, but Pikachu's popularity is something you have to get used to over time. And hey, at least Pichu got an even worse treatment. That thing hasn't been relevant for 7 years. At least your rival has a Raichu in X/Y.

I can never dish out forgiveness for the way TPC likes to treat certain pokemon as the pushover opposition and seems to favor only some.

Examples of mons that get treated like shit include: Blastoise, Raichu, Machamp and most fighters in general, Sceptlie Golem,(even tho you autists don't like him)

Maybe compared to charizard because Blastoise is often use as the "oficial" choice for the rival, but just by being a gen 1 starter he is better treated than 99% of the other pokemon.
