All of Ash's current pokemon are well fleshed out and have distinct personalities, much more so than his old pokemon. Hell they also had to develop the other trainer's pokemon on top of that and still did a much better job than before.

I've watched XY. The only one with even a hint of personality outside of "liking Ash" is Hawlcuha. And even then, it's shoved to the sidelines and isn't even as developed as some of the examples >>27591970 posted, as a result.
