It's Misty's fanbase, not Misty herself that's more the issue.

But Misty did have legitimate flaws like physically hitting Ash from her hair-triggered temper and lacking any development in-between (I mean all 3 characters did, but Misty was literally there to fill a quota of "series female").

Most of us sort of moved on and accepted why OLM has to do what they do with the changing of the guard. Fans asking to bring her back are living in a fantasy world.
