I think a lot of people will agree that gen 5 did a great job with characters and how fleshed out they were. And not just few main ones but most of characters including all gym leaders.

Sadly there come the seven sages or rather six because Ghetsis was the boss. I always wondered why they never battled you at all. They were the admins and yet they never any battling. You could say its because Plasma promoted all these lies about freeing Pokemon from Pokeballs so its better to pretend they dont battle but regular grunts, N and Ghetsis used Pokemon so the sages should've done the same. Sure in BW2 Zinzolin gets a bigger role and you battle him and Rood switches sides and helps the main character but the rest are absent.

I think the post game in BW where you hunt all six sages is such a missed oportunity. They should've battled us then, it would be a lot better that way.
