>>27613707>According to who?For one the thread you're currently in and the anime ratings itself. Not to mention the previous "gen 3 Pokemon" like Skarmory.
At this point the proof is right in front of your face and you're ignoring it.
>This is an enormous category and you exclude people who come here arbitrarilyIt's not, there's a large difference between people who play video games casually, by the literal definition, and people who have dedicated their lives to knowing about video games.
>You're asserting this without any real evidence.Did you even look at the links I provided?
One of them is specifically about the majority of people in the thread thinking it was a gen 3 Pokemon.
>I glanced through them and they prove very little. Some people like it and some people don't; there's no consensus. This is why you don't glance through something when you're in an arguement. In any case the majority of people in those forums have stated that gen 2 is either bad or not particularly great or worthy of their praise.

>No shit, hence 'where I am'. I'm afraid there's no statistics on hype. You can literally gauge it by merchandise and ratings of that time anon. Don't make excuses if they don't sway in favour of your argument.
>All I can tell you about actual grassroots fan excitement is by nature anecdotalIt's 2016 anon, it's time you learned a thing or two about the internet. And what ancedotal means in this context.
