It's only like a 10% difference in stats from shit IVs to 100% IVs.

If the CP is shit, or the moves are terrible then it cannot be redeemed.

Dont evolve ANYTHING with less than 700 CP unless you catch them in abundance. I know its tough, i know you wanna battle dem gyms, but unless its a pidgey/caterpie/drowzee, you will end up with something semi-rare that will chew up dust and return only sorrow marinated regret.

Maps are getting/having updated to the new API should work again.

The desktop map app works right now. Some sites are working again too. The only ones not updated yet are mobile apps currently.

it's closer to a 25% difference between 0IVs and all 15s when you factor in all of health, damage dealth and damage able to sustain. And CP can always be redeemed with enough Stardust/Candies. Of course a high CP catch is better than a low but still, it can be redeemed.

Moves can't be redeemed true, but the difference between optimal moves and slightly less optimal moves is usually pretty slight.

I came across some website that had leaderboards for player levels and had a thing where you could sort all your pokemon by IV so you didnt have to manually enter everything. I can't find it for the life of me right now, starting to think it was something I imagined in a dream, but my dreams are rarely that boring.

Around 60 is the cap you can manage in 30 minutes, so I'd be patient a bit longer. Try to fit some evolutions that will give you dex entries as well for extra 1k xp per entry.

fair enough. these are bottom of cursve and real tough breaks. But on something like pic related Lapras, the second set of moves is still 95% as good as the top set. And the third set 91%. If you're just bunging him in a Gym to defend, then high CP and high IVs are more important than *perfect* moves.

The whole game is a joke. There's nothing to do but capture pokemon that you can't use for anything.

No battles against wild pokemon, no battles with friends, no trading, no contests, no amie, no nothing. Just stare at your box and feel like a cool guy for having that 2700 power vaporeon which you can't do anything with.

They don't need to add another generation of pokemon when they can't even get the features they have to work well.

They need to work on lowering crashes, fixing the catch rate, tracking, and adding a fuck ton of pokestops, gyms and spawns for areas outside of big ass cities. Once you're out of skyscraper central, there's giant ass dead zones everywhere.

My best catch so far, he spawned close to my home right when I was going back from night stroll. Made me really happy, especially since I only got two Weedles from that spot so far. It was a good day in general, got plenty of exp earlier and on this walk I managed to grab gym for the first time, two at that! Usually area is full of CP1000-2300 but this time they were ~700 and I somehow had type advantage.
I'm level 13.

Never. By the time you get a pokemon you think it might be worth powering up, you will find a more powerful one right around the corner.

Just stockpile it up pretty much unless you're in the 30-40s area.

I don't know, I usually toss revives and potions out because they're easy to replace from pokestops and gyms don't do that much so it's rare any of my pokemon even get injured.

So, all that leaves is trying to get enough pokemon to evolve 60+ at a time with lucky eggs to get any decent progress.

OK, so, Pokiimap is god damn ridiculous. I thought it was just another scanner app but you can actually collect shit from stops and even catch pokemon from within the app. No way in hell I'm putting my actual account info in this. I already feel dirty for using it. At least there's no gym interface built in, but it's still spoofing on easymode.

You put your account into a website that was basically running off the same API that maps/bots ran off but don't worry, as long as you didn't catch any pokemon or run around or anything the worst you could possibly get is soft banned temporarily.

Niantic probably saw millions of accounts accessing their API from the same IP address and didn't bot although it did send the bot specific message so it's unlikely they'll ban you because there are so many people.

Yeah, using anything like this right now is just painting a huge target on your back. I'm even paranoid they're collecting some sort of device ID info that will tie alt accounts used ing scanners like this to any other accounts run from the same phone even if those were only ever used in the official app. If that happens, well, fuck me I guess. Cheating is cheating to Niantic and if they can only go for easy targets they sure as hell will get to me sooner rather than later. And I'm sure max level bots will still evade them.

I know for a fact they collect the useragent but that's not as specific as a device ID iirc.
But you can disable SSL on your device and run it through a debugger if you want to know for sure what they collect and don't collect.

The map I linked to is basically the code that pokevision etc uses to run. So basically you run a mini website on your own computer that only you access rather than millions of people trying to access one website and therefore it has 0 chance of being taken down as long as you don't try to scan an entire continent

Yesterday I went out cycling and took a tablet to grab some Pokestops. I noticed two lure modules close to each other so I wanted to leech off them but GPS was completely retarded and refused to get close to any of them for twenty minutes even though I was literally standing in the middle between them. Moving around or restarting didn't help at all. After grabbing a Pokestop from the other side of the river for the third time (it was ~80m from my location) I got mad and decided to talk to one guy if he was having same problems. Turned out he was, we waited a bit, decided to walk to some more populated area, discovering more common subjects on the way. We ended up talking for almost three hours. Very nice experience.

I think that sometimes easysetup.py might not work if the devs forget to rewrite/update it and the maps only just came back up so they probably forgot about it.

Anyway, for your issue you might want to try UNINSTALLING PYTHON COMPLETELY from control panel, then delete the python27 folder from C:\ and then reinstall python 2.7.12 from here https://www.python.org/downloads/

THEN

1. Find your folder PokemonGo-Map and it scripts like in this image but please note that the image is outdated.

2. Copy and paste the address bar and open the command prompt up

And then type
cd PASTEYOURADDRESSHERE
where PASTEYOURADDRESSHERE is whatever you have on your clipboard

example
cd C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Git\PokemonGo-Map
like http://i.imgur.com/m1zjDTm.png

Then cmd 'recognises' that you are in the right folder and will know what and where the scripts are when you run them.

Then you just open this page for reference: https://pgm.readthedocs.io/en/develop/basic-install/windows.html

and type in cmd
pip install -r requirements.txt
which *should work*
then just download and install node.js as you normally download and install a program
then type in cmd
npm install -g grunt-cli
in cmd which will then install grunt in the folder which you just cd into
then type in cmd
npm install
Which will install all the npm packages that the coders decided should go in the folder you just cd into
