Guise I have seriously never hatched or encountered a non-event shiny in my six generations of playing Pokémon (never tried to be fair, I never cared enough about shinys to commit myself to hunting for them).

So I'm playing a new black run-through on my phone, and my first double encounter in the first patch of dark grass gave me this. I am JACKED, /vp/.

Should be possible in theory if I can put my .sav files on a flash cart. Currently without Nintendo handheld though. Will re-equip before SM's release.

I didn't catch a shiny in 15 years of playing (Shiny Magmar escaped in Crystal) until I got a Shiny Koffing in Emerald, and now I find shinies more frequently.

I wouldn't touch an emulator for this reason though.

I feel bad for people who don't get a lot of shinies. In my 15 or so years of playing pokemon, I've caught a ton. This includes pic related, which is by far the craziest shiny experience I've ever had.

Only encountered one pre-gen VI, was a Whiscash in Pearl's Great Marsh.

I honestly had no idea it was shiny as I never used it and it was the first and only one I encountered at the time. I finally just transferred all my pokemon from Gen III and up and noticed the little guy again.

Otherwise In X alone I found a shiny Slugma, Drifloon, Nosepass, Eevee, Shuckle and Clauncher. Don't even have shiny charm yet.

I have about a little over 200 shiny not including the ones from wonder trade or trades with random strangers online... I don't count them because I feel like they could be hacked. I'd have even more if some of my older games weren't stolen. one time i chained for bidoofs in pokemon diamond ended up with about 4, then went on to try and get a few bunearys, which I got 2 of then turned my game of without saving.

My first shiny was a Machop. My brother tried to tell me out was glitched and to run. Caught it anyway and he was butthurt since he never caught a shiny, even into this day.

I remember once when I was a lot younger I was messing around on my brother's Sapphire game. Encountered a weird coloured Tentacool. Green bulbs and whatnot. At the time neither of us knew what it was so I killed it and moved along. And also probably wouldn't have saved anyway. Neither of us really care, but it's amusing in hindsight.

100% possible I've done it before. Get a flash, import your save into it and trade. Without two DS you would have to trade to Black and White 2 I believe.

If you don't want to trade you can always open up the rom save in PokeGen, save the pokemon as a .pkm file and inject that .pkm file using PKHex. Can also just overwrite your save on your cart with the rom's sav too. I've done both.
