Mega Evolution was a mistake and they should introduce in the next gen that mega stones emit some sort of background radiation that half bakes an evolutions resulting in "Mega Pokemon", there should be a facility that you can bring Mega Stones and Pokemon that can Mega evolve where they amplify the radiation and force that pokemon to evolve into a permanent next stage.

I've been thinking about Delta Pokemon for years now.
Best mechanic I could think about was that if a bred Pokemon knows a move from another type than his own that corresponds to it's HP value, it would either gain that as a second type or has it replaced. But since Flying types would become a problem, maybe they could get a third typing? That's already temporarily possible with Trick or Treat and Forest's Curse.

Anyway, my favorite idea was a Ground/Steel Marowak with an iron mask

I don't get the praise for the current season of the pokemon anime. It seems as stupid and formulaic as ever, the characters are all way too nice and selfless, and I don't even think the wibbly wobbly style of battle animation is that impressive, if anything, it seems to be hiding just how little they actually animate the battles.

I think megas are one of the best things to have happened in concept to competitive pokemon, and given how things like hidden abilities have been balanced to make old pokemon much better, I really hope they come back now that GF has more experience with buffing pokemon like this in S&M

had a thought today about one movie. basically if deoxys can use protect for like 5 hours and hold off rayquayza then would it be possible for a team of alakazam (or equivalent) achieve the same result?
also from what ive seen in the diamond and pearl iteration of toxic, a single use can fill an area of roughly 25^2m.
assuming some pokemon might be able to muster more of said toxic gas at a single usage is fair and i estimate wheezing to be the most capable.
my thought is if the one team of alakazam were to put protect over the city and a smaller bubble over them and their trainer, would another trainer be able to command a full team of wheezing to use toxic 10 times and turn a small city into a concentration camp?

With Drapion's case it just got edged out since it is also poison and dark type, but there are a lot of mono-type non-bugs which seem they would be based on the other ones in there. For Trapinch and evolutions, I think of them as reptile-like creatures that simply mimic the lifecycle of an antlion and ones like Krabby and Corphish are mollusks-like organisms that have squishy body underneath a shell so they would be similar to Shellos and Shelder and such which is why they are water-types.

Except it would logical reserve it's Wu Xing advantages. Metal smash ices. Ice erodes earth. Ice petrifies wood. Fire melts ice.

Get rid of dragon anytime you make a dragonish pokemon that isn't dragon type people are going to be pissed off. But if you cowtow to that and make everything dragon like dragontype you lose really interest design type combos.

I had the idea of connecting Hoenn, Sinnoh, Johto, and Kanto all together in one game.
With the graphics of Generation 1.
It would have all the Pokemon, it would have all the moves, all the battle mechanics up to Generation IV.
It would just look like Generation 1, have the charm of the Generation, and maybe even some of the core glitches of Generation 1. Hidden like cute little easter eggs.
I want to travel north of Johto through the Elite 4 after beating the Champion to arrive in Southern Sinnoh.
Travel South of Mt. Coronet to get to Mt. Silver.
Travel farther south to reach Lilycove City.
Travel North of Mossdeep to reach Cinnabar Island.

Like seriously this shit couldn't be fucking hard, why haven't they tried to make a game like this yet?
The only excuse is that it would be "Too good" but then they expected Gold & Silver to be the last games, so why not now?

I want a game like this so much I wish I had a team just to develop it.
Alas, I don't.

I secretly hope that Gen 7 really doesn't have true "gyms." After 20 years of the same 8 badges + elite 4 + evil team formula, you'd think that ONE of the games (or ROM Hacks, for that matter) would try to deviate from this.

What if move compatibility was based on the pokemon's body style, egg group, and type?

Every mon's level up moveset can stay the same even if it conflicts with the other compatibility list, but its egg moves, TMs, and tutored moves vastly change.

For example: Any fire type can learn Flame Wheel; anything with arms can learn Mega Punch; and anything from the Monster egg group can learn Scary Face.

If an attack doesn't have a TM or can't be tutored, you could still pass it on through chain-breeding. Signature moves can still exist too.

I see cringeworthy pokemon fanfics and fangames on DeviantArt and it makes me want to make my own.

I like to think that I could make something not cringeworthy, but then I get discouraged by remembering that people will find my work to be cringeworthy simply because it's fanmade.

There should be more fused pokemon using the Gene Splicer. There should be more evolutions based on shit like Metal Coat, King's Rock, Electirizirer and the others. There should be more baby pokemon.

My parents used to throw my video games away as punishment for not cleaning up my room.

They'd say things like "Maybe if you cleaned your room you wouldn't keep losing your games", but I'd always put my video games away after I was done, so I knew something was up.

I realized that they were throwing my games away when I was taking out the trash one night and saw a GBA cartridge peeking through a hole in the garbage bag.

Me too. I'm always seeing people say "you shouldn't blindly love the series so much!". Motherfucker I'll love whatever I want to. And I'm seriously loving all the designs and everything else released so far. I loved gen 6, gen 5, 4, all of them. I really can't wait to see what GF does after SM. What will they add to the inevitable Sinnoh remakes? What sort of new gimmicks will we get in gen 8? Even if it's something actually stupid I'm sure I'll still love it.

I also think gen 3 was kinda shit and really overrated, and that the mainline games as a whole aren't all the enjoyable after the first one you play and are incredibly bland and repetitive, and that the Mystery Dungeon games drastically overshadow them in quality and fun as well as story. Well, at least red/blue and time/darkness/sky.

That both Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald were canon (though only one of RS)
That Emerald was set one year after the events of Ruby/Sapphire
my reasoning was that 1 Steven had quit as the champion and Wallace took the role 2 the concept art for MCs of emerald looked (to me) like they were a little bit older
I think i had some more stuff, but that's all i can remember

I actually managed to convince one guy, but i think everyone else disagreed
